A service organized in this way enables a person receiving palliative care to participate in managing their personal life and ensures the best possible quality of life until death, as well as providing support to their family both during the hospice care period and the mourning period after their death.

"Svētā Jāņa Palīdzība" is a non-governmental organization that actively cooperates with the Riga Social Service, local governments, state and other non-governmental organizations.
